Broxbourne Water Safety Assembly
BackJWS Students have been taught vital water safety skills this week in a special assembly as part of a project named after Robbie Lea, who drowned in a lake at Lee Valley.
The Robbie Lea Water Safety Partnership (RLWSP) was set up after 16-year-old Robbie, who was at the lake with two of his best friends in May 2017, drowned having suffered cold water shock while swimming in Cheshunt
The assembly included the different types of swimming techniques to use in dangerous water, information on what to remember when dialling 999 and how to use throw lines to rescue anyone who is struggling in the water.
