Safeguarding

At The John Warner School, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is our highest priority — and a shared responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a crucial role to play in ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

To fulfil this responsibility effectively, all staff and volunteers are expected to adopt a child-centred approach, always considering what is in the best interests of the child.

We are committed to working collaboratively with students, parents, carers, and external agencies to create a safe and supportive environment. This includes:

  • Ongoing safeguarding training and professional development for staff and volunteers
  • Raising student awareness of how to stay safe and seek help
  • Supporting and engaging with parents and carers as key partners in safeguarding
