Site Improvements

The school is very fortunate to have a number of new buildings across the site that have made a huge difference to the quality of education we are able to provide. The Seacole, Turing and Austen buildings, along with our wonderful Business School, offer outstanding facilities for our modern school.

We are very keen to ensure that all parts of the campus are regularly decorated and repurposed to ensure the needs of our school community are met and adapted as necessary.

In 2021, both during lockdown and the summer holiday, we have made some significant improvements to the site, including some of our older buildings. Site improvements have included:

The Studio – our old Media Suite has been converted into a magnificent studio for drama and the performing arts and re-named ‘The Studio’. This large space facilitates both practical and theory-based drama lessons as well as providing the school with an additional performance area for performing arts students.

New computing rooms – we have created two computing rooms as part of the new Business School. The rooms have been equipped with the best in computing technology allowing our students to develop advanced skills in computing and media studies.

Front of school – the front of the school, part of the original building from 1952, has been given a make-over with new cladding and steel lettering demonstrating our vision to Ignite, Discover and Flourish.

Banners – new school banners help to clearly mark the key buildings around the site as well as celebrating our core values and dedication to diversity, inclusion and equality.
