The two-year course comprises three strands which run intertwined throughout, Pure mathematics, statistics and mechanics. Pure mathematics is the sheer joy and delight of learning to speak a new language and access conceptual structures which are intricate, yet beautiful. Statistics is the language of business, industry, commerce and enquiry into the social and physical science. Mechanics is modelling techniques to build foundations of engineering across a multitude of disciplines.
